The ancient Greeks were wonderful architects.
They invented three types of columns to support their buildings.
There was the stylish Doric, the Ionic with its scrolls, and the fancy Corinthian. Each was beautiful.

Atlas was one of the primordial Titans. Atlas along with his brother Menoetius sided with the Titans in their war against the Olympians, the Titanomachy.
His brothers Prometheus and Epimetheus weighed the odds and betrayed the other Titans by forming an alliance with the Olympians.
When the Titans were defeated, many of them (including Menoetius) were confined to Tartarus, but Zeus condemned Atlas to stand at the western edge of the Gaia, the Earth and hold up Ouranos, the Sky on his shoulders, to prevent the two from resuming their primordial embrace.
Atlas continues to be a commonly used icon in western culture (and advertising), as a symbol of strength or stoic endurance.

The earth breeds giants and ogres of indescribable horror -- the heavens hold omnipotent gods and goddesses, abounding in courage, strength and wisdom. Zeus, the almighty king of the gods, who cannot resist feminine beauty -- mortal or divine, and his jealous and vengeful wife, Hera. Perseus, fearless mortal warrior, who takes on an impossible challenge: slaying the monstrous Medusa, whose glance turns men to stone. The Minotaur, half-man and half-bull, the horrible fruit of a queen's unspeakable desire, who annually destroys the young victims sacrificed to his terrifying power. A fantastic world of spells and curses, magic and mystery, forces that create and destroy at will.
Many
gods and goddesses have both Greek and Roman names. That's because the
ancient Romans adopted a great deal of Greek mythology and made it their
own, often by changing the name of a particular god or goddess.
Generally, that deity's powers and myths stayed the same - even though
he or she had a new name.
As a result, the study of Greek and Roman mythology is often grouped together under the name "classical mythology."
Zeus,
the almighty king of the gods, who cannot resist feminine beauty -
mortal or divine, and his jealous and vengeful wife, Hera. Zeus was the
sky and thunder god in ancient Greek religion, who ruled as
king of the gods of Mount Olympus. His name is cognate with the first
element of his Roman equivalent Jupiter.

Hermes was one of the 12 Olympian Gods and was god of trade, thieves,
travelers, sports, athletes, and border crossings, guide to the
Underworld. He was the second youngest Olympian god and was the son of
Zeus and Maia, one of the seven Pleiades and daughter of the Titan
Atlas. As the god of boundaries and transitions, Hermes was known to be
quick and cunning and had the ability to freely move between the mortal
and divine worlds. It is this skill that made him a luck-bringing
messenger to the gods and intercessor between mortals and the divine. He
is also the patron and protector of travelers, herdsmen, thieves,
orators and wit, literature and poets, athletics and sports, invention
and trade.
Ever heard of Nike brand athletic gear? Nike is the goddess of victory.
What about Apollo, the god of archery and prophecy. His name also used for the first crewed U.S. space mission Apollo 13.
Apollo was the son of Zeus and Leto, twin brother of Artemis.
He was the god of music, and he is often depicted playing a golden
lyre. He was also known as the Archer, far shooting with a silver bow;
the god of healing, giving the science of medicine to man; the god of
light; and the god of truth. One of Apollo's most important daily tasks
was to harness his four-horse chariot, in order to move the Sun across
the sky.
Artemis - was the
Olympian goddess of hunting, wilderness and wild animals. She was also
often seen as goddess of childbirth, while her twin brother Apollo was the protector of the
counterpart. Artemis was a virgin and drew the attention and interest of many gods
and men. However, it was only her hunting companion, Orion, that won her
heart. It is believed that Orion was accidentally killed either by
Artemis herself or by Gaia, the primordial goddess of the earth.
Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure,
and procreation. Her Roman equivalent is the goddess Venus. She is
identified with the planet Venus. Aphrodite used a swan-drawn car to
glide easily through the air. The swan was seen as a traditional symbol
of beauty and grace in ancient Greece, and was sacred to Aphrodite.
Perseus - fearless mortal warrior, who takes on an impossible challenge:
slaying the monstrous Medusa, whose glance turns men to stone.
Athena or Athene, often given the epithet Pallas, is the goddess of
wisdom, craft, and war in ancient Greek religion and mythology. Minerva
is the Roman goddess identified with Athena. Athena is known for her
calm temperament, as she moves slowly to anger. She is noted to have
only fought for just reasons, and would not fight without a purpose.
Achilles was a Greek hero of the Trojan War
and the central character and greatest warrior of Homer's Iliad. His
mother was the nymph Thetis, and his father, Peleus, was the king of the
Myrmidons.
A fantastic world of spells and curses, magic and mystery.
amazingly sculpted friezes of the beautiful Maenads, followers of the Greek god Dionysus. Each holding a thyrsus, a wand or staff symbolizing prosperity, fertility and enjoyment, the young women enraptured in dance are cast in quality designer resin with an authentic, faux stone finish.
Known for his perfectionism and elaborately detailed sculpts, the 5th-century artist Callimachus, credited with inventing the Corinthian capital, shows his great skill in that he has left few details veiled.

A taste of old world and opulence
Live like Roman royalty
Ares was the son of Zeus and Hera, the supreme goddess of marriage and childbirth. Although Ares, the god of war was a tall and handsome man, he was considered cruel, murderous and bloodstained.
Whenever Ares heard the clashing of arms, he grinned with glee, brandishing his sword, rushed and jumped into the battle, not caring who won or lost as long as blood was shed.
